Renee is the ultimate when it comes to helping guide you through your special day from start to finish! She and the entire band are able to do everything you need, cocktail hour, music for the ceremony, announcing the bridal party and of course playing the music that you choose! If they don't know a song you want played they can learn it!!! You won't regret hiring the best!

Renee and the entire Shaded Soul band have been absolutely incredible throughout this entire wedding planning process. From the very start. Renee has been prompt, thorough, kind and accommodating since day 1. My fiancé and I got a chance to listen to Shaded Soul at an outdoor event in the summer of 2019. WOW! These guys were incredible. They had the crowed up and dancing and the music was incredible- not to mention the instruments and their voices. We booked them there and then. Our wedding was scheduled for 6/2020 but had to be rescheduled to 6/21 due to COVID. Before rescheduling, Renee reached out to us early on in March to see how we were doing and to let us know she would help us if we needed to reschedule. It was so nice to have a vendor personally call to see how we were and to just talk about our options. I would use Renee for another even in a heartbeat. We need more people like this in the world. Kind, compassionate people who care about their customers.

Renee and the rest of the Shaded Soul band absolutely rocked our wedding this July.

Renee has the most upbeat and wonderful personality. She was always just a phone call or email away when I had questions or a special request. She accommodated every request we had and helped us arrange our reception to keep guests out on the dance floor enjoying the music.

Renee was extremely professional and was early to set up with back ups for back ups just in case anything were to go wrong (it didn’t!)

The dance floor was never empty, and Shaded Soul played songs that appealed to all generations. The band sounded amazing and played so cohesively together. Renee was a great MC for introductions.

We are so thrilled with Shaded Soul Band - we would hire them all over again in a heartbeat!

I have been a professional musician for over 50 years and have worked with many world renown musicians in various genres over the years so I can speak confidently on their performances. We first hired Shaded Soul Band 19 years ago for a private organization we belong to when my wife was the organization’s recreation director. They were absolutely fabulous and the crowd loved them. The dance floor was never empty from the first note to the last. Consequently, we have had them back nearly every year since
The band personnel have evolved over the years. With each band change there were dramatic improvements, if one could deem that even possible. The current iteration of the band is the best one yet. The blend of the singer’s voices is perfect, as are their arrangements. The musicianship is spot on and VERY much together. Each member of the band is individually outstanding….and together, they are absolutely awesome.
We so appreciate the energy that comes from this band as well as the interaction with the audience. We all feel that they are part of us and that we are part of them. Their music covers a wide range of styles from the very latest tunes to the big band favorites of the 40-50’s. There is something to please all music appetites. Their appearance and musicality are beyond the norm in so many ways. No one will be disappointed in having Shaded Soul Band perform at their event(s). They deserve more than 5 stars.

We could not have asked for a better band to play at our wedding. This group was a dream to work with from start to finish. Their energy at our reception was infectious, and guests came up to us throughout the night complimenting the music. The band leader Renee even jumped in multiple times throughout the evening to help my 94 year old grandmother into and out of her wheelchair. These guys truly went above and beyond in every way, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Listening to them now. They are amazing and I’m a major critic. From Bowie to Neil Diamond to medleys —anything. They have their pulse on the crowd and everyone is talented. Band leader sings and plays keyboard. Lead singers are awesome. Sax is perfect.
