If you’re considering hiring Ring of Music for your wedding or special occasion, we could not recommend them enough! Matt/ROM was hands down the best vendor we hired for our wedding. His communication was frequent and clear, he was extremely organized, and the band absolutely rocked the house on the day of the wedding. We’re not into a lot of the typical music played at weddings, and they had so many songs in their repertoire that were unique and still got the crowd going. We’re over 2 months out from our wedding and are still getting comments from guests about how incredible the music was. Hire them - you truly will not regret it!

Ring of Music played at our wedding on August 17 and they were amazing! Choosing to go with them was the best decision for our day! From our first call with Matt, he was extremely professional and organized. He was so easy to work with! We loved that we were able to select the songs that they played that meant the most to us and our families. The dance floor was jam packed all night! Many of our guests have called and texted us since to tell us how awesome Ring of Music was! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a fun wedding band!

Ring Of Music helped make our Wedding a smash hit! They had our dance floor full and good tunes flowing throughout the night! They aren't just a wedding band. Their process is thorough and the results are amazing. They turned out music selections from a list of songs into a cohesive set list which absolutely made our night. Additional to music Matt(manager I believe) was very hands and took it upon himself to coordinate with our other vendors so the night moved along smoothly behind the scenes. If I could go back in time I would hire them again, and if I hear anyone is looking to have music I will be sure to suggest they check out Ring Of Music!!!!

Ring of Music is the legit live band you should seriously consider for your wedding or other major events! We received a very personalized planning call in which expectations were clearly laid out, their rep spent significant time getting to know our interests and music preferences, and we were given the opportunity to select our own song list from a very extensive library. Little tip: they will learn 3 songs at your request, even though they are not in their regular repertoire.

Ring of Fire was the star of our wedding; we knew they were first-class, but what we actually got far exceeded expectations. They were veritable live performers, taking well-known standards and improvising their own free solos without fatigue. The party flew by so quickly because everybody was getting so into the music. Truly the best of the best in Chicago’s talented music scene, and worth every penny (actually it seemed cheap when all was said and done)! Your guests will dance the night away!

Wow! There is no other way to start this review other by saying "Wow!" Ring of Music is one of our most talked about highlights from our wedding day and they absolutely deserve that. From the first day of talking with Matt, my husband and I knew they were going to be one of our favorite vendors. Ring of Music is not only an amazing band, they were also a great addition to our logistics/event planning. Matt helped guide us through the day-of timeline including giving advice on a few do's and dont's for the day as well as tips and tricks to keep the timeline flowing in a natural way. They worked well with our other vendors to create the perfect timeline for the day and took the burden off our shoulders to communicate those final details leading up to the big day. On wedding day, they showed up on time and set up super efficiently (I didn't even know they were there and set up - which is good!) and had everything ready to go way ahead of the ceremony and reception. We loved their ceremony sound services! It was slightly windy during our ceremony but we heard from so many of our guests that they enjoyed that they could hear our vows, readings, and the whole ceremony! We've all been to those ceremonies where you hear absolutely nothing - they will make sure that is not the case! From the ceremony, we also had live musicians during our cocktail hour. They were so great and set the vibe well for that transition time. We loved that they provided the emcee for the evening and also that they met with us ahead of time to get names, entrance songs, flow all right from the cocktail hour into the dinner. It was a great flow! Now, the dance... this was seriously the best. We worked SO hard to curate an amazing dance floor and Ring of Music took that VERY seriously. Matt met with us several times ahead of the wedding to guide us through selections and help us curate the best dance floor possible. He made amazing suggestions given that we had selected a larger band. He talked to us a lot about the plan, as well as back up plans depending on what the day-of vibe ended up being to create a party. We felt like he absolutely had our vision and our back going into the day/dance portion of the evening. And they absolutely delivered! The performers were amazingly talented and SO MUCH FUN!! They were interactive with our guests and kept the energy up the entire night. They event let my husbands band, Catfish Murphy, up to sing 2 songs during the DJ set!! This was a freaking hit!! By the end of the night, they had such a finger on the crowd that they threw the set list out the window and were calling out our favorite songs and playing each of those to keep the crowd up. We ended up extended the set because our dance floor was crowded and no one wanted to go home! Several guests have since said, "If they would have kept playing until 2 AM, we would have stayed out on the dance floor" I call that a HUGE success!! We've made friends with Matt, he is such an awesome person and is SO good at his job. I know I am leaving stuff out here but we have so many high praises for Ring of Music. If you want an awesome band, packed dance floor, and someone that has your back during your day, book Ring of Music!!

We had a band booked but cancelled on us in late October. Fortunately we discovered Ring of Music. Thanks to Matt Stedman's professionalism and promptness, we were able to book the band in only a few days. The setup was easy and most importantly, the music was on point.

My family and fiancé were set on having a live band. I was a bit more skeptical but went along. We had never seen Ring of Music at another wedding but chose them based on our conversation with Matt and their wide range of music options (particularly the Grateful Dead section). I can now admit it was the best decision we made. We had started off with just a 7 piece and upgraded to 11. Truly worth every penny. They had the dance floor packed the whole time even the DJ portions. They truly jammed out and played music for everyone to dance to. We didn’t want just wedding music but music that everyone loved. There was one point where the trumpet and fiddle were having a jam off. We had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding band they’ve seen. We cannot recommend Ring of Music enough. They played every minute and were great to work with.

From the moment I spoke with Matt at Ring of Music, I knew I was in good hands. I was going overboard for a major birthday milestone which included live music. Matt got the vibe immediately, asked great questions about my music taste, the guests and the venue. And then he and his musicians delivered.
