I went to More Music to repair a guitar and sell an amp that had been stored and unused in my home for a good while. The staff was extremely helpful. They offered and explained some options for me but did not pressure a sale. In the end I felt I received a fair price, timely service, and great communication. They run a great local shop. I’ve had nothing but good visits here. They have your essentials, and you’re always greeted by busy bodies so you know that your gear is good hands if you ever drop it off. Pedro worked on my guitar sooner/faster than I could ever expect any shop to that didn’t care for or empathize with their fellow musicians. Long Beach is very lucky to have these kind of folks

More Music is operated by the former Gilmore Music employees. It is a good place to buy guitars and basses, small accessories like strings and tuners, and drum accessories like heads. They also do rentals and sell school band and orchestra instruments. They don’t have a lot of drum stuff to check out but they have 2-3 drum sets there. Wish this store was more comprehensive but they’re doing what they can and they do a great job. I got my Squier Jaguar rewired, intonated, and cleaned up. It took about a week and cost about $150. They were super communicative the entire time. ET is one hell of a guy. He’s funny, cares about the community, and is knowledgeable. My only complaint is I wish this store was larger and more comprehensive. Other than that, this is a great fixture of Long Beach music.

this place is amazing. Pedro helped me out in getting my vintage Epiphone Casino and vintage Fender Telecaster all set up. He did a fantastic job and is truly passionate about guitars. These guitars have never played better. I highly recommend.

I came in looking for a stylus for my record player and had what I needed in stock. They have an in house record repair man and a few record players in stock. They also have a selection of guitars and accessories for people looking to get into music. They're friendly, have great customers services, and have lots of musical goodies.
