Great vinyl shop in downtown Chico CA. Super knowledgeable staff. Place is cool and a kind of gathering spot for locals. Plenty of cool records and memorabilia. Definitely recommend

Traveled from an hour and half out of town on my day off the check out the decent collection vinyl they have. Brought a couple LPs to trade in that were worth a little more than the lowball offer given to me. Fine, not the problem… the older gentlemen gave me the offer and when I tried to discuss pricing he cut me off. “You go ahead and make your mind up, take it or leave it. I’m busy and have other things to do.” From one business/salesman to the next. I’d personally never treat anyone who wants to line my pockets with their hard earned money like that. Thank you guys for your time I guess. But I won’t be coming back.

Awe Melody Records! One of the last of the Mohicans,rather, last of the Chicoans, occupying that Infamous corner where swanky meets street urchin while hobos and hippies converge with polite deference to one another as students rally or drink or protest somthing nonimally important. An iconic,authentic,quentissential,
downtown business that managed to persever through decades of change...and still maintain its original ambiance (and floor plan) without any obvious upgrades and techno hoo haas. They fill a music niche, -hell they CREATED the niche- and continue to thrive while being friendly, responsive, and inexpensive. I don't mean cheap either. Quality supplies, custom orders, and knowledgeable help....The owner actually
"work " works there and he is a reasonable
and honest fellow. Also, let's not forget the extra amazing bonus of beads, christals, incense,gifts treasures ,sage, etc at my go to fav Ital Imports conveniently tucked into the package! My my!

Got accused of stealing by putting something in my pocket, the man watched me pay for my gems and rocks, watched me get the receipt, and then watched me put my just purchased items in my pocket. The man then tried looking from the side into my pockets. It made my friend and I very uncomfortable. I then walked to the record area to purchase the records I had found and was pointed at by the man, and was proceeded to ask if I put anything in my pocket. I really enjoy this place and I’m severely disappointed in what happened today. Overall I’ve never had a bad experience except for today. The only reason I would recommend this place is because they do have a really good selection. So disappointed in this.

My daughter and I loved it. They cover every decade and genre there and prices are very reasonable.

Also visit the shop in the back. Lots of fun eclectic stuff.
