The comments about the owner are unfair. I have known Clint for over 20 years and he is a very funny yet mellow man. He can be a bit dry humored at times but once he knows you, he treats you like family. This store is great and has weathered the storm of the big corporate stores while most other stores folded. Staff is top notch as well. Anyone who said they are not going back because of the owner, I would give this store another shot before giving your money to the corporate music stores.

I initially visited this music store to repair a broken violin string, as our usual shop was closed. Though I was initially skeptical, we decided to give them a try. They replaced the string, and I left hopeful. However, just two weeks later, the string broke again, and this time it caused my bridge to collapse. Upon having it inspected, it was discovered that the string they had installed was not the correct G string, but rather an A string. This oversight, coupled with the subsequent damage, has left me deeply dissatisfied with the service. Regrettably, I will not be returning in the future.

Boogie Music is the store where I happened across one of my dream guitars, and it was at a very good price. It was just serendipity.

I had gone to see a Mike Stern concert at the MIM the night before, and decided to stay overnight in Phoenix to check out music stores the next day. I'm glad I did.

I really wanted a Maton acoustic guitar, but at that time (around 2016), there were not very many dealers in the USA.

Lo and behold, they had a Maton Tommy Emmanuel 808 model on consignment, the exact guitar I wanted but could never find.

I play tested it for about an hour, and received absolutely no flack from the employees or Frank, the owner.

I purchased it that day, a very happy camper and drove home 3 hours away.

Funny thing was, I had no idea how the Maton AP5Pro pickup worked, and only realized that either the microphone or the piezo pickup was not working after I returned home.

I called back, informing Boogie Music about the issue with the guitar. Frank, the owner, was very stern but very fair. I understand where he is coming from, he keeps people employed and is running a business.

I brought the guitar back to get looked at by their guitar tech. Took him 5 minutes to troubleshoot a loose internal connection. Everybody was happy, I wasn't charged an extra cent. The Maton has been performing like a dream ever since with no issues.

Frank may be stern, but he's a good man with a good heart.

Sure, I had to drive another 3 hours to Phoenix, but that gave me another excuse to go looking around for more cool music stores.

I was very happy with my experience at Boogie Music. I still have the Maton I bought, and actually got to jam with Tommy Emmanuel at CAAS in Nashville and he even signed it.

the owner is really mean, he damn near yelled at my grandma :/ she was just trying to tell him that she loved the store before leaving, and he was apparently too busy. it’s really sad the way people treat their customers these days, i won't ever be coming back and i think it’s a shame that people support a business that just isn’t nice (or humble, judging from his replies to these reviews). do yourself a favor, don’t bother replying to this one brother.

Highly recommend this place to anyone that is interested in starting/ buying their first instrument! I came in and explained that i know almost nothing about music but wanted to learn. I was shown the differences in size/ sound between ukeleles and was given advice regarding the best books to start out with. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff!

Have purchased many instruments from them in addition to trusting them to work on many guitars over the years. We have been renting a Cello from Boogie music for 3 years and couldn't be more please with the service we have had. Their policy on rent to own is fantastic! Another child just started with the trumpet so I dug mine out of the garage and brought it in for a tune up. We agreed on a price, and it was sent off. It took about a week and when it came back several things that were not discussed at first had happened to repair my trumpet. A new price was never even mentioned and the original price was honored. I am so impressed with Boogie Music!!!
