Love this place. Very laid back vibe and accepting musicians at any level. Both Jack and Freddie are great, so if you need lessons you will be in good hands. They are also now holding jam sessions to help players build their chops in a fun, chill environment. Can't recommend the Lab enough.

While the owner is a very lovely and kind man who was so encouraging to my 10 year old daughter when she wanted to pick up the guitar, I am very disappointed in the service at Texas Music Labs. She took a couple months of lessons with Rose, who was lovely, but then she took a break. I have been wanting to continue lessons for my daughter and stopped in the shop and called a few times to inquire about this and while the clerk on duty (not the owner) took down my info and promised a call back, I never received that call even though I went in several times. Even a call updating me or letting me know she can’t take lessons for whatever reason would have been a courtesy and frankly I am bummed and no longer willing to come in to the store at all. They lost a customer who was at first charmed by the shop.

Outstanding place for anyone in the music space! Jack is awesome and you're not going to find better deals out there! Thy sometimes do casual jam session parties and they're SO FUN!!! One of my favorite spots to hang out for sure 🙌

Resumed guitar lessons here after maybe 40 years of ignoring my guitar. Starting all over has never been easier and Jack and Ryan and my teacher Andy are not only my mentors and guides, they are friends as well. The vibe in the store (and their mascot Hendrix) will make you linger and chat. Check them out.

Fred is the best guitar teacher ever!! I love coming to their Friday night jam sessions- there's nothing like listening to live jazz being made up on the spot 🤯 So fun and inclusive 🥰
