Hollywood U2 are hands down the BEST U2 tribute out there! I've been a U2 fan since The Joshua Tree and never liked tribute bands until I saw Hollywood U2. They sound fantastic and the singer sings with passion just like Bono in his prime, he looks so much like Bono it totally trips me out. The other U2 tributes I have seen in California were boring in comparison and I actually left the concerts midway. If you have always been hesitant in seeing a tribute to U2 like I was, definitely go see Hollywood U2 you won't be disappointed. I stumbled over them at a summer concert show a couple years back and have since seen their shows at Saint Rocke, The Canyon Club and The Whiskey when they performed on The World's Greatest Tribute Bands TV Show. These guys are not just a cover band they put on a phenomenal tribute to U2!!!

Saw Hollywood U2 for the first time ever last Saturday at Bolsa Chica beach and it won't be the last time! It's no exaggeration to say they are now officially my 2nd favorite band. No, not my 2nd favorite U2 tribute band, they are my 2nd favorite band in the world! They were absolutely amazing! We have a local U2 Tribute band close by and one that travels here from CA a couple times a year and Hollywood U2 blows them away (or Blows Their House Down, if you will) 🙂 They played mostly older stuff because that's what the crowd was really into but they do play stuff from Innocence and from Experience as well! I can't wait to hear more newer stuff next time! After watching lots of Hollywood U2 videos online, it's clear they have the deepest selection of songs vs any other U2 Tributes I have encountered. They even played 11 o'clock tick tock (performed amazingly)

We are already planning another trip to see them in mid August (hopefully on back to back days!) It's worth the 12 hour round trip for us. If you are lucky enough to be local do see them, you'll be glad you did!

I am from Ireland and i love you U2. I have seen almost every tour and followed their path from local band to global giants with pride. Living in LA for the last 10 years, i came across Hollywood U2 one night at the Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas. I could not believe how good the music was and how Joe portrayed Bono both vocally and visually. What a treat. I have been a fan of Hollywood U2 since, and only this week- seen them at the Canyon Club in Agoura. Joe works his craft so well its hard not to think its not Bono..and that from 3 ft away! His vocals are perfect- delivered with control and a sense of humbleness that is both endearing, yet he is the greatest thing in the room.He was born to impersonate Bono- and the band are awsome. The edge rocks it with as much effort to make you think he is the real thing. Ye gotta love the effort this band make to create the event - every time. Will continue to see them for as long as they are willing to do it.

I've seen Hollywood U2 many times in the last few years and they never disappoint. Just last week I got the chance to see them play 1 day after a real U2 concert in Las Vegas and it was amazing!! Not only do they play the hits, but for huge fans like me who know U2's catalog inside out, they mix things up and surprise us with rarities like Spanish Eyes and Lady With the Spinning Head. The singer, Joe, does a fantastic job imitating Bono with his mannerisms and he sounds so much like him! The other three members have charisma and connect with the crowd too. Their outfits are great, they work hard, and their love for U2 shows in how they present themselves. I will definitely be seeing them again!

Have seen Hollywood U2 about a dozen times over the last 15 years, including the U2 show in which they pulled Joe Heir up on stage at the U2 concert, and he was better than they were. They are the best there is, and match U2 at its peak. We have seen U2 probably 20 times over the last 25 years, and they are one of the best of all time. Will be going tonight to see Hollywood U2 in Seal Beach, CA. They put on a fantastic show there.

Hollywood U2 is the best U2 Tribute band that I have seen. I've been a fan since 2008 and since then this band has not disappointed me once. From the playlists to the wardrobe to the vocals to the excitement in the room let alone Joe Hier's graceful voice; they have been on point. Seeing Hollywood Bono (Joe Hier) sing on stage with U2 at Los Angeles Forum in May 2015 live and in person was such an incredible moment! I told myself, “Did you see Bono say ‘WOW’ when Joe started singing? Did you see Bono hand over the microphone to Joe and the crowd going wild for Joe’s singing? THAT WAS INCREDIBLE! THAT WAS MADE OF DREAMS COMING TRUE! Hollywood U2 embodies the essence of U2 and their message of “ONE LOVE” and this is why I love this band, I love their rendition and respect that they pay every single gig they do to the essence of U2. You got to check them out! I guarantee that they will bring that energy out every single time! Oh and don’t forget to DANCE!

My Wife and I have seen them several times. Most recently at Saint Rocke, Hermosa Bch Ca. The very first time we saw Hollywood U2 they were great. And they got better each time. I am a U2 fan, and have been to many shows since 1987. Hearing U2 songs live with Hollywood U2 is fantastic. Imagine seeing U2 in a venue the size of a Pub. "Hollywood Bono" Joe went from doing a great impersonation of Bono into "becoming" Bono onstage. Thank you, Hollywood U2.

Hollywood U2 is by far the best U2 tribute around. They work hard to give their audience the true U2 experience, and having seen them many times, I can verify that they nail it consistently. For serious U2 fans in Southern California, lots of us enjoy going to their shows because they give us our "fix" in between tours and they literally *never* disappoint.

Joe has mastered Bono's voice, inflections and mannerisms so expertly — and even after seeing them so many times, I'm still in awe of how he does it. But my opinion hardly matters when Bono himself was in awe of it in May 2015 at the Forum, when he pulled Joe on stage and watched with visible delight as Joe took over vocals on The Sweetest Thing. The next day, Bono and Edge were on KROQ and brought it up of their own accord, calling Joe's rendition "beautiful." U2 was loving it, and that says it all. And his Bono costuming is so authentic that you'll swear you're back in 1992, or 2005, or maybe in the present day but with Bono right in front of you. It's incredible.

The rest of Hollywood U2 works hard to emulate the band members they are "playing" as well. Stevie Adams is a skilled musician and the closest thing to The Edge you'll find outside of U2. He wears the hat, the Music Rising shirt or the "number 7" shirt...different looks associated with Edge over the years. He's the real deal. Roy kills it on drums and pulls off the Larry Mullen look, even being a good sport and putting on the current "Larry glasses" from last year's E+I tour. Harley, on bass as Adam Clayton, also dresses the part and even whitens his hair for certain sets to look like Adam now does in his late 50s. For other sets, he'll wear one of the punk tees Adam wore as a young man or maybe his striped shirt look. If you're a passionate U2 fan, you recognize these details immediately and appreciate them.

I want to say something about their setlists. These guys care about giving the audience a genuine tribute to U2, not just "the hits." They do play all - and I mean *all* - the hits; however, U2 only has so many hits. The U2 catalog is 40 years of music, and serious U2 fans know every single song Hollywood U2 plays. I know people who were "just the hits" fans until they saw Hollywood U2, and now they've been inspired to discover the rest of U2's music. If all you care about is what you've heard on the radio, you're missing out by only getting to know a small part of what U2 has done musically over four decades. Also, someone who says they didn't know four songs in a row is probably not familiar with U2's last three albums. Hollywood U2 plays songs from *all* eras of U2, including the current one. So if you're a U2 fan who's concerned you may not know some U2 songs at a U2 tribute (think about that for a minute), you may want to familiarize yourself with what they've done recently. Their last three albums are No Line on the Horizon (2009), Songs of Innocence (2014 - remember, it's in your iTunes LOL), and Songs of Experience (2017). They don't have commercial hits, but they do have some beautiful songs.

Hollywood U2 puts their hearts into what they do, and it shows. Anyone who says they only come to hear hits may want to find another U2 tribute to follow. Personally, I Will Follow this one!
