From the very first note to the last dance, our experience with Bob Gail and their phenomenal wedding band, Jump Start, was nothing short of magical. When planning our wedding, we wanted a band that could not only play great music but also create an unforgettable atmosphere – and Bob Gail exceeded our wildest dreams.

Their talent is exceptional. They were adept at reading the room, shifting seamlessly between genres to keep the energy high and the dance floor packed. The band’s rendition of our first dance song was so beautiful.

What truly sets Bob Gail Events and Jump Start apart, however, is their professionalism and warmth. From the planning stages to the final execution, Brian was there for us. His attention to detail and commitment to personalizing our experience was evident. He worked tirelessly to make sure every aspect of the evening reflected our style and preferences.

The feedback from our guests has been overwhelmingly positive, with many stating it was the best wedding band they had ever heard. The energy, skill, and passion of Jump Start turned our special day into an extraordinary one. We are eternally grateful to Bob Gail and Jump Start for making our wedding not just a celebration, but a truly memorable experience. It really was the best day of our lives.

Can I please give Scott Levine and Higher Ground of Bob Gail Music and Entertainment an infinite number of stars because 5 just isn't going to express how phenomenal this band is!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I are still high on happiness from our daughter's wedding last Saturday evening in which Higher Ground played a major part! All through this week we have received phone calls of appreciation and a common thread among them all was how incredible the band was!! If our guests were not eating or listening to a toast, they were up on the dance floor. I'm sure the band must have taken a break but I seriously don't know when because I personally danced the night away. Because it was a Jewish wedding, we danced the traditional Hora at the beginning. The rest of the evening, the band just seemed to know the songs to play that would keep everyone dancing. The guests even sang along to the songs - that's how into the band they were! And we were a mixed age group from late 20's to mid 70's. I'm sure I sound ridiculous because I am trying to convey my excitement in a review, however, trying to tone it down a bit I think the key is that the band leader Scott was an expert at reading the guests and playing what worked for our party. The singers by the way had unbelievable voices and the songs sounded even better than the professionals that have recorded them! For an accurate and complete review, the wedding was black tie at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for 155 guests. If you want people dancing at your event, Higher Ground under the direction of Scott Levine is the way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The highlight of our wedding was this band. Our dance floor was rarely, if ever, empty. Scott and his team were fantastic to work with, from the moment we first booked them. We often asked their advice on the playlist, the flow of the evening, and about a million other ideas we had. They always responded promptly and provided their professional input on how to make the evening even better, and we are so glad we listened to their advice. I'd book them again in an instant - just waiting for an excuse to. 🙂

I can not say enough good things about Higher Ground! We initially had another band for our wedding (Traffic Jam) who, when we had to reschedule due to COVID, screwed us over and took our deposit. We lucked out that Higher Ground was still available, and talk about a blessing in disguise: they were definitely the band we were meant to have for our wedding! Unlike our first experience with Traffic Jam, from the very beginning, working with Brian and Scott was easy. They were upfront, responsive, and fun!

And then at the wedding... they blew us and our guests away! Seriously, we had SO many people comment on how great the band was. Their range is unreal -- it's amazing how many covers they can do that sound just like the real artists. They learned several new songs which we requested in advance, which made our song list extra special for us. Higher Ground made our wedding what we wanted to be - a wedding where the guests were constantly partying on the dance floor. If you're looking for a top-notch wedding band, look no further.

I cannot say enough good things about Scott, Brian and Bob Gail Music. My husband and I attended an event in 2017 that had Higher Ground as their wedding band. When we got engaged, we knew we needed to have them at our party. Our original wedding was canceled due to COVID, and Bob Gail was incredibly accommodating. They made an uncomfortable and devastating process of canceling and rebooking incredibly seamless and pain free.

We finally rescheduled our wedding for October 2023 and Bob Gail was the first vendor we rebooked. We made sure all of our vendors aligned with the dates they had available and we were off and running! They provided a song list that we were able to pick and choose our favorites from.

Fast forward to our wedding day and everything was amazing! The guitarist at our ceremony was amazing, the set list during the reception was amazing and they followed our lead with music choices. Our entire reception was spent on the dance floor and every one of our guests commented on how fantastic the band was. They even chanted for an encore and High Ground did not disappoint! All we wanted for our wedding was for people to be up and dancing the entire time and that's exactly what we got with Bob Gail. Cannot recommend them enough and am bummed that we don't have another event for them to do for us!

We will definitely be booking them again in the future!

Wow. WOW! Hiring all of our wedding weekend musicians through Bob Gail Music was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. They were able to accommodate all of our requests and notes (which were many!). They adhered to all of the things we did and did not want in regards to music at our wedding - and they did so FLAWLESSLY. Guests are still raving about the music at our reception!

The ceremony musicians (a string trio) played all of the songs we requested and even learned a few. They set the tone for the whole event! The Spanish guitarist we had at cocktail hour was immensely talented. The jazz musicians and singer we had at dinner set a beautifully elegant tone. They played our first dance live (as well as our dances with our parents) and it was gorgeous! They were able to adjust the dance band for our reception to accommodate Latin singers and musicians so that we could have a mix of Latin music, salsa, and non-Latin music! Their energy, skill, talent, and ability to read the vibe of the room kept everyone on the dance floor. They were able to incorporate fun dance songs that everyone knows and loves but aren’t often played at weddings - which was exactly what we wanted!

Lastly, Brian Pincus, who we communicated with throughout the planning process, was a gem and a legend. He was timely, communicative, open, and always helped us find ways to make our crazy creative ideas come to life. Ok - I’ll stop gushing now. Just… hire them!
