What a great find in Nashville! This is a fun and interesting museum. So much to explore of African American music contributions to the USA. A huge plus is the fun interactive exhibits that keep you engaged and heighten your experience. Although, a few of them require a little nerve as you are performing with the music as you sing or dance. But they are definitely fun and enjoyable. I definitely recommend checking this place out when you're in Nashville. If you're a music lover it definitely won't disappoint.

Wonderful archives and exhibits. Plan at least 4 - 5 hours so you can take in all the decades covered.

Nice souvenir options in the gift shops (books, candles, games, t-shirts, music and other trinkets for home).

Definitely worth the trip and I would go again and take others.

Such a beautiful, fun, interactive museum that really dives in the rich history of African American music! My favorite part was learning about the history of Gospel music and being part of the choir!! I also got to make beats, participate in the dancing room, and loved the interactive wheel of artists. A must see in Nashville and really close to Broadway!

This was my first visit to the museum, and it was very nice. There is so much music history to see and listen to with the interactive wrist bands offered at the ticket counter. I really enjoyed all the rich music history, and the displays were amazing. I recommend anyone who hasn't visited the museum, come and see for yourself. ? ? ? ?

It would be a celebration of musical genres that have shaped not only American culture but also influenced the world. The mix of gospel, jazz, blues, hip-hop, R&B, funk, disco, and more would create a vibrant atmosphere, offering both historical insights and hands-on fun. Being able to make beats, sing, and create dance videos would allow visitors to immerse themselves in the legacy of these genres while expressing their own musical talents. It would be a perfect space for music lovers, creators, and anyone interested in the rich culture of African American music.

By far one of the best museums I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing! This museum has a ton of history, culture and interactive / engaging activities (from making beats, making music in the studio, seeing how songs are composed.) I thoroughly enjoyed how much I learned about music and African American history! Please make sure you stop by and visit during your trip to Nashville! Spaces like this must be celebrated! It is so needed and a must visit!

It's a must see and totally worth it! As a European, I thought it was great to get a historical insight into the roots of the music I listen to every day. The implementation and possibilities for interactive experiences are great as the whole set up. The staff has been super nice and helpful.

Visited from out of town on 9/27 and my friends and I had such a great time! This is a very interactive museum, not only is it informative but also fun and interesting. I purchased a wristband to be able to download videos, music, etc. from the interactive stations. The staff was also very friendly/accommodating. Would recommend as a must go to anyone visiting Nashville!
